Hello beautiful people! Today I am here to talk beauty. Instead of hitting you up with a February favorites post this month, I decided to share with you a few of my favorite beauty items I’ve been loving for the past couple months since I strategically left out my beauty favorites from my January Favorites post (sneaky, sneaky).
Now I know this product isn’t for everyone, but my hair is so oily that dry shampoo just doesn’t cut it for me. Since I’m blonde, I can easily get away with using baby powder because it just makes my roots even lighter, which when they haven’t been touched up for a while is GREAT. My sister being a brunette has better luck with the brown tinted dry shampoo, but I just find most dry shampoos too light for my oily mop of a head.
Pantene Pro-V Foam Conditioner — Sheer Volume
I had been reading all about this product and had been seeing it promoted all over Instagram, so I decided I just had to try it out. I think the weirdest thing about this product is the fact it is foam, so it feels exactly like a shaving cream, except it’s for your hair. It’s a little weird but super awesome.
You put it in your hair, wait a few minutes for your hair to absorb it, then rinse it out. If you’re like me and running your fingers through your wet hair after a shower seems almost impossible, I recommend this conditioner. I decided to try the Sheer Volume variation, but nothing can help my sad, flat hair volume-wise, so I think I might try the one for color treated hair next time (GASP my secret is out).
Daisy by Marc Jacobs —Eau So Fresh Rollerball
My mom purchased my first rollerball for me, I believe for my birthday last year, and I fell in love with the scent. I actually received another for Christmas. It is such a subtle, but a floral scent that is just so dainty and fresh. It is my favorite perfume at the moment.
Mary Kay Lipstick — Hibiscus
This has been my go-to shade the past couple months, and it is unusually bright for me. Since I am super pale and I often feel washed out, I think a pop of color adds a lot to any look.
I love this color, but unfortunately, it is no longer available. BUT luckily Mary Kay carries a shade that is almost exactly identical to it called Scarlet Red in their Gel Semi-Shine Lipstick, which if you love this color as much as I do, you can find it here.
Vaseline — Rosy Lips
I am obsessed with this pink-tinted travel size Vaseline. I slip it into my backpack or purse to make sure my lips don’t get chapped. I am not usually someone who likes to wear lipstick, or remembers to reapply, so just by putting some of this on my lips I have a little more color on my face, which if you haven’t noticed, I am a pale ghost-looking gal so it is very important. It also is a great makeshift blush as well because it blends so easily.
Mary Kay Lip Gloss — Pink Diamonds
In case you haven’t noticed, I pretty much only use retired Mary Kay products. My mom is a consultant, so we have all the older products from years past stockpiled in her room.
I have been loving this gloss because Mary Kay glosses are so moisturizing and have great pigment. As I have already stated, I’m someone that doesn’t usually like to wear lipstick, so having my moisturizer in a color really helps me out. If you like what you see, there is a similar shade called Fancy Nancy and you can find it here.
Revlon Teak Rose Nail Polish
I have been all about blush-like pinks recently and this nail polish is no exception. This is a beautiful almost mauve-like pink that is very subtle. I really love this color, and actually, I am wearing this shade during my photoshoot with the amazing Joshua Hall, which if you haven’t seen his stuff, it’s fantastic and you can find his Insta here and his website here, in case you’re a local Indy resident looking for an amazing photographer.
Now enough about my favorites, I want to know what you’ve been loving recently. Let me know in the comments below and maybe I’ll write about it in my next beauty favorites if I give it a try!
Thanks for stopping by,
